What systems do you own?

Post by Shorono » Tue May 30, 2017 6:34 pm

Hey guys, I'm curious as to what hardware you guys have. I currently have:

2x IBM Personal Computer 300PL (one FreeDOS one Win98SE)
IBM RISC System/6000 250 (Not operational WIP)
Commodore 64 Breadbin (Temporary out of service, started freezing on me)
NEC PC-98Xa7 (Currently in the mail)

As well as some modern computers.
Feel free to add games consoles/other hardware you feel is relevant.

It's nice to know what everyone has so you know who to bother for assistance :^)

Well, for retro computers, I currently have:
  • A Compaq Evo N600C laptop, with a Pentium III (Tualatin) running at 1.2 GHz with 256 MB (can be upgraded to one whole gig) of RAM and a 30 GB hard drive. No OS installed (Maybe Gentoo)
  • A Dell Inspirion CPi laptop, with a Pentium II running at 333 MHz with 128 MB of RAM and a 30 GB hard drive. I plan to install Windows 2k on it.
And I have my PC-9821Xb10 coming via Fedex, in which it will arrive by Saturday. It has a Pentium running at 100 MHz, with an unknown amount of RAM and a 850 MB hard drive with DOS and a CAD program installed. Only PCM sound, though, so I really need an 86 or compatible board.

PC-98 computers
  • PC-9821 V12
  • PC-9821 Nr150 (broken, removed YMF288 from it)
I really want a PC-98 compatible EPSON PC, mainly for their different font rom. Some programs and OSes did crazy things like using the shape of the font to identify models.

MIDI modules
  • Roland SC-D70
  • Roland SD-20
  • Yamaha MU500
PPC Macs
  • PowerBook 1400
  • iBook G3
