Yep you are correct. I had forgotten BT axis did not complete 7. I think maybe i was thinking of Farland Symphony.

I would suggest any of the Farland Story series. All the ones for the pc-98 have been translated. I did a playthrough of the first 2 on my YouTube channel and enjoyed them very much.
Oh they are turnbased strategy and quite forgiving. All the patches can be found at RHDN.

Tyvm. Maybe I'll find help here. I plan on posting the details after a little more testing. I'd really like to figure it out myself so we will see.
